How To: Linens Like A Boss

If you are like me, there is nothing you love better than fresh, clean linens. Well, except for neatly organized fresh linens of course. Today I am going to show you some steps on how to properly manage your linens starting with the dreaded fitted sheet. I saw a video once by Martha Stewart and my life has never been the same! Have you ever found yourself guilty of wadding them up in a bundle somewhat like this?

STOP IT!! There is an easier way! The First thing to do is to fold it into four with all corners tucked neatly into each other.

The next step is to fold that into thirds. It should look something like this:

Voila! It is as simple as that and look how nice and neat this is and ready to go into your closet! One simple thing that I like to do with my linen closet to make it look extra neat is to make sure all of the edges are facing in and I can only see the smooth sides of the fabric on the outside. Something like this:

It really is the simple things! The final thing that I want to show you before you officially become an expert on handling your linens is how to make hospital corners on your bed. I once worked for a lady that had me iron her pajamas. Yes, you read that right, her PAJAMAS. However, she did teach me how to make the pretty edges on a bed and I will never forget it. The first step is to tuck the bottom of the sheet underneath your bed. Once you have that completed, pull a corner up and tuck in the side of the sheet. Then you are ready to tuck in the bottom of the corner.

And there you have it! Now that I have spilled all of my secrets I hope I have inspired all of you to go home and start working on those linens!
